Self Trust and Execution
Do you know what it means to trust yourself? It means you follow through on the things you say you are going to do....regardless of how you feel.
Why do I say regardless of how you feel? Because feelings are fleeting.
I discussed in a live how we, especially women, can feel multiple emotions throughout the day. You may wake up happy as hell, then get triggered and be a little frustrated at something, then back to happy, then you're scrolling on TikTok and see a tear jerker, now you're sad, and then back to happy because something made you laugh.
All of these feelings and emotions can generate day by day or even week by week. Especially women as cyclical beings. And this is not to be confused with emotional regulation because yes, we regulate our emotions but we still feel all of these things.
So, tying it back to execution; if you only execute when you "feel" like it, you're doing ourself a disservice in multiple ways.
This looks like:
-not gaining momentum because you keep stopping and starting based on feelings
-not building a trust within yourself because you're not following through on your tasks
-not sure what you're next move is because you're waiting to "feel it out"
Coming from an intuition coach, do not confuse intuition with feelings. Your intuition is your guide, and as you tune in more you will follow the guidance regardless of how you feel.
That looks like:
-making a plan or a list and sticking to it.
-honoring your commitments, no matter how small or how you feel
-showing up even on the "off" days
Your self trust is built in the things you complete that you said you would complete. It's built in following the guidance that has been given to you. It's built in doing the things that will gain you momentum to your goals.
If you say you're going to work out or do 20 minutes of body movement a day and you never do, you've proven yourself untrustworthy in your subconscious brain. But if you do it, even if it's minimal, you are building a trust muscle.
Every time you execute consistently, no matter how small, you rewire your beliefs to deem yourself as trustworthy.
What can you start today to prove yourself as trustworthy?
Think about it.
